Finished

My first "real" lace project, Icarus, is blocking on my guest bed. Boy that sucker is big and pretty. I'll hopefully take pictures tomorrow or Sunday.

On the next show, I plan to talk about a different solution to the First Scarf Syndrome, a Romantic book, and keeping track of your EZ shoulder shaping.

Hi Laura,

I've been listening to your podcast for quite a while now and I wanted to drop you a little note to let you know that I'm really enjoying it. I have a really new podcast (only on episode 2) about knitting and watching movies. One of the movies I talked about this week was Pi, and that made me think about math, which of course made me think about your podcast, so I had to mention it while I was rambling on. If you want to check it out, I'd be honored to hear what you think. (Of course, I will understand if you don't want to or are two busy!) Oh, and congratulations on the completion of Icarus!!

You can find the podcast at http://www.filmandfiber.com

Hi Laura: Big Hugs for all you are going through in your personal life. I appreciate all the podcasting you can muster at this time. I would like to know about shoulder shaping. I fear committing to a sweater project [again] until I can figure this out. Do you have the "Magic Formula"?
Another topic of interest might be some first-hand experience with fiber types and shrink ratio after washing them. I know felting is popular right now, but what about ordinary projects, like basic cotton-, rayon-, and nylon-wool blends?
Thanks so much! Hang in there! Christine - Las Vegas.
